{NOTD} Summer Travels (ish)

Okay, so I'm not really able to travel anywhere this summer (bummer!), because I am studying for my Medical Admissions Exam... I can still dream about traveling though.

OPI nail polishes are a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they have a great formula and don't need many coats to achieve the desired look, other times numerous coats are needed. With this color I had to apply 3 coats for an opaque look.

OPI,  On Stranger Tides

In between studying I have been catching up on some reading. I'm a slow reader, unless the matter is really gripping (like all the Harry Potters' =_=;;!!).

Do you have vacation plans for the summer season? Any novel recommendations?

  3. I definitely need to read some more! On Stranger Tides is such a gorgeous shade, the standout of the Pirates Collection for me. I just don't know whether it'd look good with my skintone. Looks gorgeous on you though :)

  4. You're right about OPI nail colors. I've always said the same. But the result looks beautiful on your nails and I want it! I don't have any summer plans, I just got back from bonnaroo and my birthday is in August. Other than that, I'll be a bored bee until school starts back. As for reading, please recommend me some good books. I've been told 50 shades of grey, but I can't help but to write it off as another pop culture fad... Haha. Check out my blog if you like:

  5. as an english major, i could totally recommend millions of novels that you would love! but last summer i read "east of eden" by john steinbeck (you may have read the grapes of wrath... one of my faves!!) anyway, it's a pretty thick novel -- about 600+ pages. but it's SO worth it. you have to read it. and i mean it!
    hope all is well!!
