{p10p} 3 down, 7 to go!

I have to say I am quite enjoying seeing my clutter decreasing. Making progress!

I really liked this scent, it was from last summers collection from Victoria's Secret. To me the scent was often described as sweet like cake or brownies, but I always thought it smelled like Thai Tea. Is that odd? The glitter in it was not overpowering, but left my skin looking radiant. Also, this had a slightly orange/brown shade when applied but doesn't pigment the skin.

I still have the matching body spray, but I don't really use body sprays anymore...

Did you ever try VS body glitter swirl creams?

Fall: Upclose and Personal

As stated in my previous post, this weekend I traveled to the Mountains in Georgia. (My first camping experience) I was almost worried that it was too early in the season to see the tree's changing colors, it was sparse, but I still got to view some fiery reds and oranges! I absolutely love fall, deep colors, cool winds and dry days.

The forecast was amazing this weekend too, it was high of 85 and low of 54. Minus temps in the 80s everything else was pretty great.

Oh... funny thing, we had trouble getting out fire started, a few cub scouts came over and tossed lighter fluid on... problem solved! I think ;D

Also we almost got lost in the woods. Uh-oh!

Have you run into any problems on camping trips?

{review} e.l.f brush cleanser

Just a quick review while I'm out, currently staying in the mountains!
I purchased this bottle of brush cleaner from e.l.f several months ago in attempts to find an inexpensive cleanser. Many reviews on the product web page stated that "a little goes a long way" & "the tiniest amount is required," after my own use I began to question how well these customers really clean their own brushes.

I'm my experience the formula is quite runny, thin, and produces bubbles easily, but doesn't lather well. Also it leaves my hands very dry feeling, so I wonder how the brush fibers are treated with this. Another concern to note, it doesn't cut through pigmented residue, creams, or waxy/oily products well. I does clean, don't misread me, but without the qualities a great cleanser should have.

Rating: 3/5

How do you clean your brushes?

{Reading List} Of Mice and Men

So in preparation for the MCAT, I have begun reading a diversity of books that I should have already read, plus some new classics. I was never assign to read Of Mice and Men in school and never cared too until recently. I cannot believe I never did!

Oh, if your an avid reader you should check out Goodreads.com. Loads of materials, giveaways, and suggestions. =]

Any books that you might think could help my verbal reasoning?

{Crafty} Autum butterflies

This was one of the first bracelets I made when I was a freshman in college, almost 4 years ago!

It has amber/topaz colored hearts (which always reminded me of fall), man made pearls, and butterfly charms. I was quite proud of it then and wore it often, but of late it has been neglected. Sorry old pal :[

I wanted to share since fall is literally right around the corner.

What pieces of your jewelry collection will you carry into fall, and what are you hoping to add?

Fun Pinks!

Very old picture I found on my computer. This was over two years ago, when my face was going crazy with acne. It has cleared up so much since then. I had to be prescribed medication to treat it.

Anyhow, this was taken on my way out to work, when I used to experiment with my eyeshadow.

{p10p} 2 down, 8 to go!

So if you haven't noticed in my previous blog post, I have started the project 10 pan challenge. This is for several reasons, which includes de-cluttering, finding which products I actually like, and preventing me from buying more than what I can use, just to name a few.

This was bought during my summer vacation to Orlando, Fl. - cause I wanted to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter {hehehe}, after I went to the beach and got a nasty sunburn. Which happened to be right before I worked for a non-profit cancer organization, leaving me paranoid. This helped so much to give me relief from the horrid pain and prevent me from excessive peeling.

Anyways, this after-sun lotion is super moisturizing, leaving the skin feeling tremendously soft. The smell I don't care for, but the formula is amazing. I would consider repurchasing once I finish off the rest of my lotions, permitting another great moisturizer doesn't swoon me over.

{NOTD}Fair Game & Gems

This is the current combo I am wearing on my nails. I'm rather liking one nail being different, and using different textures and patterns.

I know some prefer all 10 fingers and 10 toes to match, but it doesn't bother me!

What do you think?

Feels like Fall, cause I'm studying again...

This morning felt amazing, well the whole day actually! I don't know how it was for you ladies, but here in Georgia it was extremely pleasing to be outside. Personally, I love overcast weather, everything just feels so much more mystical!

My drive home from Biochem lab

Since it was a bit chilly and overcast this made me feel lazy and I decided to try and be productive. This resulted in me studying at a local cafe.

I hope all your Fridays were fun and eventful!

Man... e'rythang was gone.

{Alright... back to Physics lab... D:}

Did you any of you check it out?

{Order} DSK Jelwery

I've been following Stephanie Nguyen for a while and her ventures in the jewelry business. I had longed ogled over her creations and finally broke down last week to place an order.

Stephanie is a very talented designer and I know she has great patients and skill to come up with all of her wonderful ideas. She is really inspiring to me. I feel like I want to be all these things, fashion designer, makeup artist, cosmetologist, jeweler, insert creative titles here, etc. I am very happy for her that she has found prosperity in her trade <3.

These are the Swarovski Black Diamond Checkerboard Studs.

She is really sweet, check her out here:

Accidental Pan!

I just realized the "massive" dent I have put into my favorite pressed powder. This is the Maybelline Dream Matte powder. At one point I thought they had discontinued this, but I think it was because the shop I was in was out of stock {hahaha}.

This was a great powder for summer, as it kept my makeup from sliding. I cannot remember how it holds up in colder months.

Which powder is your favorite? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Remembering...

It was a very chilly morning on September 11, 2001. Unseasonably, but it heated up rather quickly through out the day. Just like what I did every other morning, I missed the bus, so I had to have my mom drive me to school. When we entered the old BMW of hers, I smelled the same old smell of the weathering leather, kind of like bologna. We settled, I turned on my seat warmer, which only added to the bologna smell and proceeded to warm up the car. The radio was on, I'm not sure who turned it on that day, if it was me, my mother, or it had been left on from the previous use.

The radio host were in a daze, saying such ridiculous thing, a plane flew into one of the tallest building in New York City. I was 11 and had no idea what the World Trade Centers were, and I just kept on thinking about WWI or WWII just because the first words are the same. My mom was freaking out, I wasn't sure why, and I didn't know how to react. She proceeded to take me to school and we continued to listen to the radio hosts discuss what could have happened to let this happen.

Once I was at school I told my teacher, but she brushed it off, like I was telling a lie. She only realized it was true when the other "pod" teacher came running over telling her to turn on the news. She didn't keep the TV for long, but all of my classmates and me saw enough, we saw the 2nd plane, we saw the 3rd near the Pentagon, we saw our President, we saw enough.

Still 10 years later, I can remember very fine details of the events, it is chilling. We will never forget.

{Review} Orly Top 2 Bottom

Orly Top to Bottom

In looking for a basecoat for my nails, I have stumbled upon this one. It smooth’s the nails, making an easier application of the nail varnish, and also promotes strength in the nail.

Just from use through a few applications I have seen an improvement in the quality of my nails. They aren't ass brittle and have grown significantly.

I have used other ORLY products in the past, they have been great as well, but I think I prefer this one. Also, it does seem to increase the lasting power of my varnish, which ever brand it is.In applying to the nails, the brush is a perfect size, not to wide, and the formula goes on easily.

I will definitely repurchase this in the future.

{Review} Suave color protection shampoo

Suave Professions Color Protection

So I never really thought much about Suave shampoos. I knew they were cheap, but didn't know if they did anything special. I have used Suave lotions before and never really had a problem with them and they seem to do their job. However, hair care is entirely different from body care.

I recently colored my hair, from a light blonde to a dark brown and wanted to buy a color protecting shampoo. I figured I try this: its affordable, the claim on the bottle {yeah, yeah} says it's comparable to Biologe hair care, and great up to 40 washes.

With it purchased I shampooed and styled my hair as normal. I immediately noticed a change in my hair color. It went from a deep brown color to a brass mix of blonde and brown. Also, whenever I would style after washing, I could smell a strange scent of the shampoo. The formula of the shampoo does not yield a great lather as it is rather thin, you have to use a quite a bit in order to cleanse thoroughly.

After giving this some weeks (3) to try I could not tolerate it any longer.

{p10p} 1 down - 9 to go!

I just finished off my hand lotion, the Curel hand and cuticle formula. As you can see from the inside shot, I nearly clean it out!

The formula of this is no greasy, not to fragrant, and is long lasting. I think might repurchase this one after I finish of my other hand creams.

Labor Day

For Labor Day, I celebrated with my boyfriends family out at a Dim Sum restaurant. I service wasn't great, and the food was okay. Won't be going back there. The only good dish was the missing one in the picture, shrimp roll.

Boca Mocha!

Another great color for fall! The formula is great, stays on for a decent amount of time with the Seche Vite Top Coat.

Color is like a rusty red/brown. I'm sure it will look great on any skin tone, as it looks great on my fair skin!

{Crafty}

I miss crafting my own jewelry.
