{Birchbox} October 2012

Hello!

Are you doing well? Did you experience anything from Hurricane Sandy? In my area we just received lots of fast moving skies, wind, and overall general cold temperature. So devastating what's happened.

Now for something a bit lighter, Halloween. I've been eating things I shouldn't be... I blame my bosses (I love those ladies), they gave be a big bag of candy, naturally, I've been going crazy at it!

This is my makeup from this past weekend. Ignore my brows, I'm growing them out...

This was a last minute thing, so I quickly fashioned some hones for my head and called myself a demon..

Now onto my Birchbox for this month!

Impression:
This months box included 6 items! All of which seemed very practical.. Everything smell really nice in this box and they are all items I have been wanting to get/try - maybe not the particular brand, but it's nice to try.

Supergoop!® City Sunscreen Serum: Yay for sun block!! I tried this once, there are two packs, can't complain yet!

(MALIN+GOETZ) grapefruit face cleanser: I haven't tried yet...

(MALIN+GOETZ) cilantro hair conditioner: Love the smell!! A soft citrus smell with cilantro. I love cooking with cilantro, makes everything taste fresh and light - maybe the same effect on my hair?

LUNA Fiber Chocolate Raspberry: ....fiber, need I say more? Keep that colon healthy! I can't comment on the taste of the bar since I haven't tried.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum: Haven't tried yet either, I cannot wait to, I love trying new serums!

Sprout Lip Balm Flights: This smells like an almond joy! Not my favorite candy, but it's a tolerable smell. Very hydrating.

{Update & Review} Up&Up nail polish remover pads

Hello!!

First off, I would like to acknowledge the fact that my little blog hit 100 followers. I am so amazed by that! I know it might seem like a small number, but it's my number! :] Thank you all for your support and encouragement.

Secondly, I know I've been M.I.A. for a little bit. This is my last year of undergrad and my classes have become very intense. In addition I am also interning with a company in the city, which drains a lot of energy. So between commuting and course work, I haven't been able to properly update this blog. :[ Now on to the review!

I bought these a few months ago while in Florida for vacation. I needed to get rid my old and worn nail color, but didn't want to invest in a bulky bottle or jar of remover. I saw these at target, while out and deiced to try and I'm glad I did!

IMPRESSION:
I was really impressed with the quality of this product. These are a Target  Up & Up store brand. I really love how portable these are, you can always toss one of these pouches into your bag if you need to correct a nail mistake by chance when you are out. I think this is a solid product, and I will be repurchasing these later!
REVIEW:
Contained within this little box are 10 individually wrapped pads. These pads are felt like and are generously soaked with remover. I find that I can use one pad for both hand and feet without needing to add more remover. These pads are very durable and do not break or split when pulled or after having pressure applied. I didn't find these to have a powerful or overwhelming odor, something that other convenient nail polish removers types have.
RATING:
5/5

{DIY} Stud Earring holder

Hello again!

I wanted to improve upon my last earring holder. I had thought about this idea before, but didn't think it would work because the material I had at the time was to flimsy. (See the size differences between the mesh)
This version is much simpler, no gluing needed.

Materials:
  • A pair of scissors
  • A frame with slide inserts
  • Ultra stiff plastic canvas
  • Earrings of choice

Cut mesh to desired dimensions

Checking against, plastic covers from the frame

I hope you found this helpful!
