{Julep Box} April's Box

Julep is currently running a special for their subscription service in which you sign up and can receive a free box (make sure you enter in the current promo code at check out). I took advantage of this offer and received my first Julep box a few weeks ago.

When you sign up for this service you take a quiz to build your style profile. This will ensure you have unique colors that suit your style for each month that you pay for a box. I was deemed "classic with a twist" and was sent the two colors Florence, a light nude, and Myrtle, a vibrant red. Both colors are lovely and apply nicely.

The formula of these polishes are quite nice, which I would expect from a company that deals primarily with nail products. Each of the colors only required one coat to get the perfect opaqueness and color pay off.

Florence reminds me of Essie's Sand Tropez, a color that I adore.

Myrtle is a gorgeous red color. I wouldn't normally choose this color, but I am happy to have received it in my box.

I am happy with my first box and look forward to my next. Though I am not sure if I will continue to subscribe to this service for much longer as I can see myself accumulating too many nail polishes to know what to do with. One more draw back, which can be a bit of an inconvenience for some, is upon signing up you are required to enter in billing information which can only be removed by calling their customer service.

If you are interested in signing up this I'd like to encourage you to use my referral link as well:

{Favorite} Butterbeer Candle!

Okay, so it's not really butterbeer, but it's pretty darn close!

Being as big of a fan as I am of anything remotely Harry Potter related, naturally I had to pick this up when Bath & Body Works were having their 2 for $22 deal.  I would describe Hot Buttered Rum as a caramel and vanilla scent, with  rich and indulgent notes of buttered rum. It truly is quite the winter holiday candle, as it reminds me of everything warm in the wintertime. Though, I do think if you are a fan of HP, like me, then you would enjoy this year round.

The other candle I purchased was Champagne Toast, which has a lovely fresh and citrus scent. I think this is a scent more suited for late spring and summer.

What is your favorite candle at the moment?
